Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon (about 7 g) unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 cup (240 ml) cold filtered water, divided
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or pure maple syrup (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- A small pinch of ground cinnamon or vanilla extract (optional)
- A few drops of liquid stevia (optional)
Instructions
- Pour ¼ cup of cold water into a small glass or mug.
- Sprinkle the gelatin powder evenly across the surface and let it sit for 2 minutes to bloom.
- Gently heat the remaining ¾ cup of water until hot but not boiling, around 175°F / 80°C.
- Pour the hot water over the bloomed gelatin and stir slowly for about 30 seconds, until completely dissolved.
- Add honey or your preferred sweetener and any optional flavor add-ins.
- Stir again until combined.
- Drink warm right away, or refrigerate for 20–30 minutes for a slightly thicker, jelly-like texture.
Notes
Always bloom the gelatin in cold water first. Avoid boiling water and stir slowly to help keep the drink smooth and free of excess foam.
